No sticky kisses here
The color (R&R) is loud and a bit shocking, but when I am in the mood for a real pop of juice on my lips I reach for this product. The gloss smells like cherries and berries, very sweet and bubbly but it feels feather light and tastes a bit like fruits of summer, I love to wear it because it’s never sticky, and I hardly feel that it’s on - there’s nothing worse than a coating of plastic on the lips.
Apparently this has a whole cocktail of nutrients and goodies but I love how thin and airy it feels and even thought it doesn’t last long at all - 1-2 hours it’s a cinch to reapply. If this only came in nude colors then I would be purchasing even more, but the pinks and red in this line look fun and cheerful, a nice departure from the pale look I usually prefer - so when I want a loud, bright color I tend to use this one the most.

totally AMAZING gloss.. unlike anything else!
I’m a serious beauty junkie, but this is the first product review I’ve ever written. I used to use lip gloss all the time when I was younger, but when I hit 20 I noticed that my lips were getting really really dry and glosses just magnified their chapped look. But when I saw Tarte’s adorable “Health Couture Set” I had to buy it for the other great products included and figured the gloss would just live in a drawer…WOW was I wrong… the Inside Out Gloss (in R&R) was my favorite and huge surprise!
It is so smooth, NOT tacky or sticky at all, it has an amazing scent, and it seriously soothed my dry irritated lips like nothing else ever has! The color is sheer and juicy looking and my lips feel AMAZING!!!
I LOVE this product… and the “skinvigorating” claim definitely has something to it! My lips look and feel so healthy!!
The gloss container is sizeable and has a cute, modern look. It is on the expensive side, but I got it from Sephora in a $45 set that also included a mini Clean Slate, full-size cheek stain in Blissful (new color- peachy rose), full-size Lock&Roll in Quartz (silvery rose pink- also gorgeous), and full-size Lights Camera Lashes all in a big quilted purple makeup bag… so it was totally worth it.
Having tried it, I would buy this gloss by itself as well. I can’t tell you how good it feels, looks, and smells… Huge recommend, 5 stars!
The average woman ingests between 2 to 4 pounds of lipgloss in her life:
I couldn’t sleep one night so what do I do, beauty shop. I’m a total product junkie! QVC was airing a Tarte special, a set of three for $45- a great price as they retail for $21 each. Since I’m a huge Borba fan, I thought I’d give these a whirl.
I do like these glosses. They are slightly tacky at first, but then melt into your lips, leaving the perfect amount of shine.
The colors are all sheer and have subtle shimmer. Apple A Day looks intimidating, but goes on as a beautiful, hot pink flush. For a more natural glow, opt for either Liquid Sunshine: a nude shimmer, or Om, pale pink shimmer. The mild, pomegranate scent is refreshing. The brush has a full flocked applicator, although I would prefer a brush.
Although, the average woman may ingest between 2 to 4 pounds of lipgloss in her life, Tarte claims ‘it’s the vitamin cocktail that will keep you coming back for more’. No I. In my humble opinion, these aren’t worth the $21 price tag. Lots of lip glosses out there add unusual extracts and contain the same vitamins (in high concentrations). Just read the ingredients, folks. So if you are looking for vitamins, pop a pill, sip Borba or try the new Diet Coke, this isn’t exactly an alternative. But if you are looking for subtle, gorgeous color with a hint of sexy sheen, try these. |
